This is a ziplock plastic bag that measures 12 inches wide by 12 inches long and is 4 thousandths of an inch (4 Mil, 0.004) thick. It has two press-zipper tracks, which run along the top of the bag and make it easy to open and close securely. These bags are designed to reduce the likelihood of things from leaking out, and they can be used multiple times since they can be reclosed.
These bags have been manufactured to be safe for storing food and pharmaceuticals, and they meet the requirements set by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture). Please note that the dimensions listed are for the inside of the bag and indicate how much space is actually available to put things inside. The lip above the ziplocks is not included in these dimensions, so you lose no interior space.
